Duane Mor­ris LLP an­nounced that Patrick Gal­lagher, a part­ner based in the Boca Ra­ton of­fice, has been ap­pointed chair of the firm’s phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals and bio­phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals lit­i­ga­tion and reg­u­la­tory Gal­lagher group. In the past, Gal­lagher was pres­i­dent of PCG Equine Re­search Inc. at the Univer­sity of Ken­tucky, where he re­searched spinal skele­tal dis­or­ders in horses and the ge­netic and bio­phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal im­pacts. He earned his Ju­ris Doc­tor­ate de­gree, cum laude, from DePaul Univer­sity Col­lege of Law, and his Ph.D. in molec­u­lar ge­net­ics from the Univer­sity of Ken­tucky.

Ward Da­mon added Christo­pher B. Pos­ner as an as­so­ciate at­tor­ney who fo­cuses his prac­tice in the ar­eas of com­mer­cial and civil lit­i­ga­tion as well as mar­i­tal and fam­ily law. Pos­ner also has ex­pe­ri­ence in ar­eas of per­sonal in­jury and ad­min­is­tra­tive law. Dr. Jay Co­hen, a 21-year staffing in­dus­try vet­eran was named pres­i­dent of TechServe Al­liance’s board of di­rec­tors, the na­tional trade as­so­ci­a­tion rep­re­sent­ing IT and en­gi­neer­ing staffing firms and so­lu­tions firms. Co­hen is founder and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of the IT staffing so­lu­tions firm Sig­na­ture Con­sul­tants 21, in Fort Laud­erdale. Co­hen has been a mem­ber of the Al­liance’s board of di­rec­tors for two years, most re­cently serv­ing as its vice pres­i­dent. His one-year term as its pres­i­dent be­gins Jan­uary 2019.

The Gulf Stream Coun­cil, Boy Scouts of Amer­ica has an­nounced Shanna Richard­son as its new as­sis­tant scout ex­ec­u­tive/ chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer, in West Palm Beach. Richard­son launched her ca­reer in Og­den, Utah, in 2001 as a ScoutReach para­pro­fes­sional. The ScoutReach pro­gram serves youth that are the hard­est to reach, specif­i­cally at-risk youth. Since 2006 Richard­son has worked for the Cen­tral Flor­ida Coun­cil in var­i­ous po­si­tions in­clud­ing field direc­tor, de­vel­op­ment, and se­nior field direc­tor.

Joshua D. Lenchus, D.O., has been named chief med­i­cal of­fi­cer of Broward Health Med­i­cal Cen­ter. In the past, Lenchus worked for six years as chief of staff at Jack­son Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal. He pre­vi­ously was Lenchus with Mi­ami Vet­er­ans Af­fairs Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Univer­sity of Mi­ami Hos­pi­tal and Jack­son Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal as an in­ter­nal medicine physi­cian. He was also a for­mer as­so­ciate pro­gram direc­tor for the UM/Jack­son In­ter­nal Medicine Res­i­dency Pro­gram.

El­liott Elias, M.D., MPH, an ex­pert in in­ter­ven­tional echocar­dio­g­ra­phy, has joined Mi­ami Car­diac & Vas­cu­lar In­sti­tute, part of Bap­tist Health South Flor­ida car­dio­vas­cu­lar fa­cil­ity.
