No keys? No problem for a determined thief who used a van to ram through the door of a warehouse bay to steal tools and other property inside, said Davie police.

Detectives are searching for the burglar who literally broke into bay No. 9 of building No. 6, at 4701 SW

45th St. on Dec. 2.

He is seen on surveillance video ramming a red Dodge Caravan through the lower half of the warehouse door before getting out of the van to push open the roll-up door.

The video showed him entering the warehouse and stealing tools along with 25 cases of Freon coolant valued at $1,250.

A gray 2008 Honda Accord was also stolen but that theft was not recorded by security cameras, police said.

The video showed the burglar as having a dark complexion, wearing a blue baseball cap, an over-sized white hockey T-shirt with a large Florida Panthers shield logo on the front, gray pants, a yellow work glove on his left hand, a black glove on his right hand, and dark running shoes with white trim and laces.

Investigator are asking anyone who may recognize the smash and grab burglar to contact the Davie Police Department at

954-693-8200. Anonymous tips can be given to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000 and remain anonymous.
