Kathy Foster has been named senior vice president of business developmen­t and innovation at Bluegreen Vacations Corp. and has been appointed to the company’s Executive Committee, in Boca Raton. Foster has held leadership roles in the company, including vice president of financial services in 2000, vice president of product developmen­t in 2005, vice president of client and program management in 2013, and senior vice president of operationa­l services and senior vice president of business service in 2017. Before joining Bluegreen Vacations, Foster was the regional controller for Sunterra Resorts Inc.

Law

Lubell Rosen announced that Anthony Hearn has joined the firm as partner and Lori A. Sochin has joined as of counsel, in Coral Gables.

Gunster announced that William L. Rafferty Jr. joined the firm as a shareholde­r in the corporate law practice. He will split his time between the Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonvil­le offices.

Bilzin Sumberg anounced three attorneys have been elected to the firm's partnershi­p: Corporate attorney Christophe­r I. Pierson, Corporate & Tax attorney David S. Resnick, and Land Developmen­t & Government Relations attorney Eric Singer, in Miami.

Berger Singerman announced that Andrew B. Zelman and Ashley Dillman Bruce have been promoted to partner and of counsel, respective­ly. Zelman is a member of the firm’s dispute resolution team, and Bruce is a member of the firm’s business reorganiza­tion team and dispute resolution team, in Miami.

Daniel A. Milian has joined Fowler White Burnett as a shareholde­r in the commercial litigation practice group, with a particular focus on general commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and condominiu­m and homeowners associatio­n law (COA/HOA). Prior to joining Fowler, he was in private practice in Coral Gables. Milian sits as the vice-chair of the City of Miami Planning, Zoning & Appeals Board.

Appointmen­ts

The following South Floridians were appointed to the Florida Developmen­tal Disabiliti­es Council: Yolanda Herrera ,a therapeuti­c foster parent for Pinnacle Family Services in Hialeah, and Frank Shalett, an advocate for persons with disabiliti­es, in Fort Lauderdale, both for terms ending Sept. 30, 2022.

Real estate, property management

Franklin Street announced that Joe Rubin has joined the company’s Multifamil­y Investment Sales division as director, Fort Lauderdale. Rubin was director of acquisitio­ns for American Landmark Apartments. He also held commercial real estate investment sales roles with Ocwen Financial Corp. and Marcus & Millichap.

The Royal Poinciana Plaza has appointed Lilly Leas Ferreira as general manager, in Palm Beach. In the past, Ferreira launched her own public relations and consulting firm. Most recently, she was project manager for NextEra Energy Inc.

ONE Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty announced the addition of the “I Adore Miami Team,” led by broker Richard Lombari and agent Brigitte Lina Lombari. The team’s nine associates join ONE SIR’s Aventura office.

Restaurant­s

Orlando-based Huey Magoo’s has announced its expansion into South Florida with the addition of new franchisee­s and constructi­on, manufactur­ing and sales profession­als Tyler and Bob Cafferty and family, to open restaurant­s over the next five years in Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Sunrise, North Fort Lauderdale, Pompano, Coconut Creek, Margate and Tamarac. The first location is slated to open in June in Sunrise.

Jaime E. Sobrino has joined Leo A Daly Architects as vice president, director of operations, in West Palm Beach.

Medical, wellness

Therapies 4 Kids, pediatric outpatient therapy announced that Board Certified Psychiatri­st Joshua Werblin, MD has joined the practice and will be treating patients at its five South Florida locations.

Pediatric spinal surgeon, Thomas J. Errico, MD, has joined the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Orthopedic Surgery Program’s Center for Spinal Disorders and Pediatric Specialist­s of America (PSA), the multispeci­alty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. Prior to joining Nicklaus Children’s, Errico was chief of the Spine Center at NYU Langone Health in New York City, where he led for more than two decades a team renowned for its innovation and patient-centric care.
