The NBA recently hosted its Team Sales & Marketing Awards for business performance. Garrick Amos, vice president of season ticket memberships and general manager for the Miami HEAT and AmericanAirlines Arena, received the Pete Amos Winemiller Guest Experience Innovation Award. The award, which honors an individual who has created an innovative service experience for fans, is inspired by the late Pete Winemiller, senior vice president of guest relations for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Through Amos’ leadership, the HEAT has achieved more than 85 percent season ticket retention. Additionally, Amos led the team’s relationship with the Disney Institute to transform AmericanAirlines Arena through the league’s ELEVATE program, an NBA initiative designed to improve the customer experience by striving for excellence at every level of the business.

SunServe announced recent appointments: Heather Coll as Ryan White staff therapist; Reniese McNeal as mental health, substance case manager; Islande Mompremier, to the HOPWA housing case management department; and Ricshaud Williams as office assistant. In addition, Hunter Campbell has joined as a youth life coach and Sama Patel to the youth therapy team.
Broward Education Foundation has elected four new officers to its board of directors. They are: Chair Frank Horkey, president of Horkey and Associates P.A.; Chair-Elect Tim Curtin, administrative director of community services for Memorial Healthcare System; Treasurer Jean McIntyre, president and chief executive officer of the Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce; and Secretary Ruth Lynch, director of Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools and director of public relations of Charter Schools of Excellence.
The American Red Cross has named Deborah Koch executive director of the Greater Miami & The Keys chapter. Previously, Koch was marketing director for J.P. Morgan Private Bank.
The Areawide Council on Aging, and Aging and Disability Resource Center’s Advisory Council, recently held the annual installation dinner and recognized its 2019 honorees, including: outgoing Board President Theodora Willams, who has served on the Areawide Council on Aging board for more than 11 years; and outgoing Advisory Council Chair, Donna Appel. Additionally, Mary Kittleson was honored as Project Personality of the Year. Kittleson is the community care for the elderly section manager, Broward County Elderly and Veterans Services.
Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties has elected Alex Rubio and Earnie Ellison Jr. to its board of directors. Rubio is vice president, integrated supply chain, with NextEra Energy Inc. and Ellison Jr. is managing partner of Ellison Consulting Group LLC in Palm Beach Gardens.

Aimee Mangold was named the HR Professional of the Year by the Human Resources Association of Palm Beach County. Mangold is the vice president of human resources for Kolter Hospitality.
