South Florida Sun-Sentinel (Sunday) - - Money - By Ron Hurtibise

A maker of bath soaps that look and smell like cupcakes, donuts and pies is among several newly opened specialty stores at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise.

The popular mall, which calls itself “the largest outlet and value shopping destination in the United States,” is home to more than 350 stores. Here are the newest:

Alex and Ani is a jewelry and accessory brand known for bangle bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. It gained national attention when Gwyneth Paltrow was photographed wearing an apple necklace designed by the brand following the birth of her daughter Apple in 2004. The Sawgrass Mills store is its first outlet location in Florida, according to a news release.

Ariat sells Western and English equestrian gear that pioneered the use of advanced athletic shoe technology in its riding boots. The new outlet location, its first on the East Coast, features footwear, apparel and accessories on closeout and seasonal overstock, as well as best sellers.

The brand last year became the title sponsor of the World Series of Team Roping and in 2015 signed an exclusive licensing and sponsorship agreement with the International Equestrian Federation for its World Cup Finals.

Monnalisa sells trendy Italianmade clothing for boys and girls

up to 16 years old. The new Sawgrass Mills store is its first outlet worldwide and one of just five stores across the U.S. It operates a retail store in Bal Harbour.

Nectar Bath Treats makes soap that resembles edible confections. “The childlike whimsy and surprise of experiencing a slice of cake that looks and smells like the real thing, but is, in

fact, a bath & body treat inspires and motivates us to create exceptionally charming products,” the company says on its website. Products include donut soaps, cupcake soaps, pie slice soaps, and milkshake-style bath soaks. The brand also makes body scrubs, body lotions, lip balms and shower gels. According to its website, this is the brand’s first U.S. location east of Las Vegas.

In March, Sawgrass Mills will open its first-ever Sephora store. The Parisbased

personal care and beauty product retailer features nearly 300 brands in addition to items sold under its own label.

In addition to the new stores, several existing ones recently expanded their spaces within the mall. They include Adidas Outlet, Columbia Sportswear Factory Store, and the Levi’s outlet store.

Sawgrass Mills is located on West Sunrise Boulevard, just east of the Sawgrass Expressway.

These delectable-looking treats are actually bath soaps crafted to look and smell like the real things. They’re available at Nectar Bath Treats, one of four newly opened stores at Sawgrass Mills outlet mall in Sunrise.
