Jews continue to face brutal persecution

South Florida Sun-Sentinel (Sunday) - - Opinion -

My response to Sarah Gertler’s op-ed: “Are you naive or just anti-Semitic yourself?”

You stated: “It’s true that Jews faced centuries of brutal persecution.” They still do Sarah, on a daily basis, in the very dangerous Middle East neighborhood that they live in.

As Israeli Justin Amler said: “For in each and every generation, Jews have faced enemies – fierce enemies, powerful enemies intent on hurting us, on wiping us out, and making us nothing more than a distant memory in a dusty historical record. Israel’s destiny won’t be defined by our enemies and it won’t be defined by the world around us, but rather by the stars above us.”

Go back to Israel, Sarah, and ask the Israeli Arabs if they would prefer living in any of the surrounding Arab countries rather than Israel. My experience there says that they’ll answer “No.”
