David Clark has been pro­moted to se­nior vice pres­i­dent of op­er­a­tions at Broward Health. Clark joined Broward Health in April

2018 as as­sis­tant vice pres­i­dent of cor­po­rate ser­vices.

Sur­geon Ho­ra­cio As­bun has joined Mi­ami Can­cer In­sti­tute as chief of hep­a­to­bil­iary and pan­cre­atic surgery for Mi­ami Can­cer In­sti­tute and through­out Bap­tist Health.

Martin A. Dytrych is the new chair­man of the Jupiter Med­i­cal Cen­ter board of trustees, re­turn­ing to a lead­er­ship role that he held two years ago. He has been a mem­ber of the hos­pi­tal’s cor­po­rate board since

2010, and joined the board of trustees in

2012, and as chair­man from 2015 to 2017. He re­places Robert J. Stil­ley, pres­i­dent and CEO of HeartCare Imag­ing Inc., who re­mains on the board as vice chair­man. Dytrych is a prin­ci­pal with fi­nan­cial ser­vices firm Rehmann that re­cently merged with Jupiter-based Lamn, Krielow, Dytrych & Co.

Joseph Nader, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor and se­nior wealth ad­viser for Calamos Wealth Man­age­ment LLC, has been elected vice chair of the Nick­laus Chil­dren’s Hos­pi­tal board of direc­tors, which pro­vides over­sight to the 309-bed pri­vate, non­profit spe­cialty hos­pi­tal in Mi­ami. Nader has served in board lead­er­ship roles since 2012, in­clud­ing chair­ing the hos­pi­tal’s fi­nance and in­vest­ment committees, re­spon­si­ble for all en­dow­ment, in­sur­ance and pen­sion plan as­sets.

Barak Mizrahi has joined Del­ray Beach-based Daniel Events as cre­ative di­rec­tor and events spe­cial­ist. Most re­cently, Mizrahi worked as a makeup artist at the Tel Aviv In­ter­na­tional School of Makeup.


The Greater Fort Laud­erdale Con­ven­tion & Vis­i­tors Bureau an­nounced that Michael Pouey has joined the or­ga­ni­za­tion’s sales team as vice pres­i­dent of group sales. Mar­garet Don­nel­ley will be rec­og­nized for her 50 years as a vol­un­teer and ad­vo­cate for men­tal health causes by the Men­tal Health As­so­ci­a­tion of Palm Beach County at its spring lun­cheon on March 20 at the Co­hen Pav­il­ion at The Kravis Cen­ter for Per­form­ing Arts.

Ten Broward County com­mu­nity vol­un­teers, age 60 and older, were rec­og­nized as in­ductees into the Dr. Nan S. Hutchi­son Broward Se­nior Hall of Fame. Ethel Isaacs Wil­liams, se­nior vice pres­i­dent of de­vel­op­ment and pub­lic af­fairs at Del­ray Beach-based Kauf­man Lynn Con­struc­tion, re­ceived the 2019 DI­A­MOND Award from the Greater Boca Ra­ton Cham­ber of Com­merce. The DI­A­MOND Award rec­og­nizes a pro­fes­sional woman in south Palm Beach County who con­trib­utes to the vi­brancy of the com­mu­nity. The award was given dur­ing a cer­e­mony at the Boca Ra­ton Re­sort & Club.

Diana Brooks, co-founder of the Coral Gables-based VS/Brooks, a brand­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tions firm, was rec­og­nized as Mar­keter of the Year at the Amer­i­can Mar­ket­ing As­so­ci­a­tion’s South Florida sec­ond an­nual Mar­ket­ing Awards pre­sen­ta­tion. The agency, founded in 1996 by Brooks and Vi­vian San­tos, also re­ceived a va­ri­ety of ac­co­lades for brand launches and mar­ket­ing cam­paigns as Agency of the Year, Gold Award and Global Cam­paign of the Year, Bronze Award.

Mi­ami-Dade State At­tor­ney Kather­ine Fer­nan­dez Run­dle was se­lected by the Ju­nior League of Mi­ami as one of their 2018 Women Who Make a Dif­fer­ence. The award rec­og­nizes out­stand­ing women who ex­em­plify the League’s mis­sion of pro­mot­ing vol­un­teerism, de­vel­op­ing the po­ten­tial of women, and im­prov­ing com­mu­ni­ties, at the League’s 18th an­nual Women Who Make A Dif­fer­ence Lun­cheon at Jun­gle Is­land in Mi­ami.

Rabbi Rikki Arad, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor at B’nai To­rah Con­gre­ga­tion in Boca Ra­ton, was hon­ored as a Fel­low in Syn­a­gogue Ad­min­is­tra­tion, by The North Amer­i­can As­so­ci­a­tion of Syn­a­gogue Ex­ec­u­tives, NAASE, at its an­nual con­fer­ence in West Palm Beach. Three other ac­tive Syn­a­gogue ex­ec­u­tive direc­tors in the state have done the work re­quired to ac­com­plish this, but Arad is the only one to re­side in South Florida, and the only ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor na­tion­wide, be­ing pre­sented with an FSA this year.


Frank Gon­za­lez was elected as sec­ond vice chair of the Or­ange Bowl Com­mit­tee at the or­ga­ni­za­tion’s an­nual elec­tions in Fe­bru­ary. Gon­za­lez is the man­ag­ing prin­ci­pal for the Mi­ami of­fice of MBAF, Cer­ti­fied Pub­lic Ac­coun­tants.

Gun­ster an­nounced that Jonathan Kent Os­borne has re-joined the firm as a share­holder in the busi­ness lit­i­ga­tion group. Os­borne be­gan his le­gal ca­reer at Gun­ster be­fore spend­ing more than four years as a fed­eral prose­cu­tor. Also, Gre­gory K. Bader, chair of Gun­ster’s bank­ing & fi­nan­cial ser­vices prac­tice, has been ap­pointed to the board of direc­tors of the As­so­ci­a­tion for Cor­po­rate Growth South Florida chap­ter.

Berger Singer­man an­nounced that Christo­pher An­drew Jarvi­nen has re­turned as a part­ner on the busi­ness re­or­ga­ni­za­tion team, and Robin Rubens, has joined the firm as a part­ner on the busi­ness re­or­ga­ni­za­tion team and the dis­pute res­o­lu­tion team in Mi­ami.
