Cup Se­ries hits the road at Rich­mond Race­way

Kevin Har­vick takes the green flag at the start of the NASCAR Cup Se­ries Toy­ota Own­ers 400 at Rich­mond Race­way on Satur­day night in Rich­mond, Va. Cup sea­son points leader Kyle Busch won the 100-lap first stage of the race, grab­bing the lead from Har­vick af­ter 25 laps. It was the fifth stage vic­tory of the sea­son for Busch, who was try­ing for his third straight vic­tory on the 0.75-mile, D-shaped oval. De­fend­ing Cup cham­pion Joey Logano was sec­ond in the stage, fol­lowed by Martin Truex Jr., Har­vick and Clint Bowyer, giv­ing Joe Gibbs Rac­ing and Stewart-Haas Rac­ing each two cars in the top five po­si­tions of the ini­tial stag.
