Cup Series hits the road at Richmond Raceway
Kevin Harvick takes the green flag at the start of the NASCAR Cup Series Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway on Saturday night in Richmond, Va. Cup season points leader Kyle Busch won the 100-lap first stage of the race, grabbing the lead from Harvick after 25 laps. It was the fifth stage victory of the season for Busch, who was trying for his third straight victory on the 0.75-mile, D-shaped oval. Defending Cup champion Joey Logano was second in the stage, followed by Martin Truex Jr., Harvick and Clint Bowyer, giving Joe Gibbs Racing and Stewart-Haas Racing each two cars in the top five positions of the initial stag.
