$1 filet mignon sandwiches at Morton’s
I’ve got a few odds and ends to share this week.
Carnivores can celebrate National Filet Mignon Day at Morton’s The Steakhouse on Tuesday. Gorge on $1 petite filet mignon sandwiches in the bar from 5:30 to 10 p.m. No coupon is necessary for this national promotion, which is good while supplies last. The limit is 12 sandwiches per guest, dine-in only.
The steakhouse also offers cheap eats and drink deals in the bar for happy hour. Sip discounted beer, wine and cocktails, and yummy bar bites starting at $7. Try the Iceberg Wedge Bites or Mini Crab Cake BLTs. I’m partial to the Fresh Cut Potato Chips With Blue Cheese Dressing.
Morton’s also is participating the Sunny.org’s restaurant months. Dine on a threecourse meal with a side for $35.
Free NFL Sunday Ticket
Now that CBS and AT&T have reached an agreement over programming fees that ends the blackout, get ready for some Fins football. DirecTV is offering new subscribers the NLF Sunday Ticket for free (a $294 value) with the Choice package. Prices start at $45 a month for the first 12 months with special discounts. You’ll have to sign a two-year contract, and then the prices will go up, according to the fine print. Learn more at Directv.com/sports/ nfl.
AT&T also has added a free Spotify Premium subscription to its wireless Unlimited & More plan. Customers can now pick one of seven free premium entertainment options, including HBO, Showtime and Pandora, according to a news release. The No. 2 carrier also is offering a buyone-get-one-free deal on new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 smartphones and a $150 reward card when ordering online. Info: ATT.com.
New Verizon plans
Periodically review service plans from Verizon and AT&T to make sure you’re getting the most for your money. You must opt in to new plans.
Verizon recently tweaked its unlimited plans and dropped prices by $5. Prices range from $35 to $55 per plan. The No. 1 carrier added 5G streaming and reshuffled data and hotspot limits. The new $45 Play More package seems to be the best of the lot, offering three more gigs of premium LTE data over the
old plan, 720p streaming and free Apple Music. Info: Verizon.com.
