Pitbull music video features Travolta
You might want to call him PitTravolta.
Actor John Travolta proved that he’s still got his dance moves in Pitbull’s new music video “3 To Tango” which features Travolta portraying the Cuban-American rapper.
Donning a similar bald head, beard and black suit, Travolta, 65, portrays a mysterious man watching a bevy of sexy female dancers perform at a bar and on stage.
Then, at more than the halfway point, the man gets up and begins to perform the tango with two women at the bar.
The video, which highlights the rapper’s Voli vodka brand, was shot in July at Pitbull’s new restaurant and nightlife destination iLov305 restaurant, according to a publicist. Named after the entertainer’s love of Miami-Dade, the restaurant opened at 1060 Ocean Dr. in the former Bel-Air Hotel in South Beach.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, celebrated the opening for his 38th birthday in January.
The video ends with Travolta saying “Dale,’’ one of Pitbull’s popular catchphrases which means “go ahead.”
“Come for the new video from yours truly, stay for a surprise from the one and only John Travolta,” Pitbull shared on Twitter to promote the video, which has more than 2 million views on YouTube.
Travolta and Pitbull are friends. In May, the “Grease” and “Pulp Fiction” actor was a guest on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where he talked about how his family and Pitbull inspired him to go bald.
Travolta said, “I became friends with Pitbull, you know all of us guys who do this have got to stick together and both he and my family encouraged it.”
In December, Travolta attended the Hand and Footprint Ceremony honoring the rapper at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. Pitbull released his new music video “3 to Tango,” which features John Travolta as the Miami Cuban-American rapper.
