Hollywood police say man tried to lure preteen girls to watch sex act
Three separate times during the past three months, Hollywood Police say a man in a white BMW who was naked from the waist down and “actively masturbating” tried to lure preteen girls closer to his vehicle.
Friday, police arrested 25-year-old Umer Tanguwalla, charging him with two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition involving a child under 16.
At his first court appearance Saturday, bond was set at $50,000, records
Tanguwalla show.
Police spokesman Christian Lata said additional charges are being investigated.
The incidents happened in September, November and earlier this month, but investigators did not say where.
During two incidents, the subject was driving a 2018 white BMW M-Series,
4 door sedan with lettering on the rear windshield, the side windows and the rear bumper. The vehicle also had a European-style front personal license plate and a bike rack on the roof.
During a third incident, the subject was driving a white 2015 BMW X-Series SUV. Police say that in each instance, the driver attempted to get the girls to approach the vehicle by asking them questions. They say the “vehicles have now been identified.”
Investigators also believe there could be more victims, and they are asking anyone who may have been approached by a white male driving a white BMW and engaged in a sex act to contact the Hollywood Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at
