YMCA raises over $600K
Over 1,400 donors participated in the Annual Giving Campaign for the South Palm Beach County YMCA, raising $684,000, exceeding its $600,000 goal. The Palm Beach County YMCA includes The Peter Blum Family YMCA of Boca Raton, the YMCA@901 NCCI of Boca Raton and the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA of Boynton Beach.
“This is a huge accomplishment and would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of all our campaign volunteers and staff,” Jackie Reeves, chairwoman of the 2019 Annual Giving Campaign, said in a statement. “In addition, 100% of donations are restricted for the Y’s financial assistance programs, so donors can feel proud about making an immediate and lasting impact to those in need in our community.”
Regarding this year’s record-breaking fundraising numbers, Jason Hagensick, president and CEO of the YMCA of South Palm Beach County, said in a statement, “We have many amazing Annual Giving Campaign volunteers who are basically Y ambassadors, inspiring others to give by sharing stories about the numerous ways in which the Y works to make positive impact in our community.”
All proceeds from the campaign will be used to provide services for children and families in need including youth sports, after school programs and preschool.
