Howard Law Group, announced the addition of Bill Isenberg as Of Counsel to Howard Law Group.
Insurance Litigation Group, in North Miami Beach, announced the addition of Christopher A. Aguirre as senior trial attorney.
Medical
Ashley Boxer has joined Broward Health as the healthcare system’s vice president of external affairs. She is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of government relations and public affairs for the healthcare system, as well as business operations at Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center. Boxer was most recently the assistant city manager of Fort Lauderdale. Previously, she worked as director of government affairs at Maxim Healthcare, corporate director of government relations at Memorial Healthcare System and corporate manager of government and community relations for Baptist Health South Florida.
Jupiter Medical Center appointed Charles Murphy Jr., MD, CPPS, as chief quality and patient safety officer. Previously, Murphy was associate chief patient safety officer and medical director of intensive care units at Duke University Health System.
Barry T. Katzen, M.D., FACR, FACC, FSIR, founder and chief medical executive of Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, and pioneer in interventional radiology has also been named chief medical innovation officer for Baptist Health South Florida. His areas of responsibility will also include Miami Innovation Institute, launched in 2017 as an embodiment of
Baptist Health’s commitment to health care innovation and the advancement of patient care. Katzen is the founder in 1987, and chief medical executive of Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, a systemwide center of excellence that is part of Baptist Health.
Arce Montoya, M.D., has joined the Holy Cross Medical Group as a specialist in family medicine with a focus on adult medicine, annual wellness visits, primary prevention, fall risk assessments, depression screenings, care coordination and care management.
Cleveland Clinic Weston has appointed Silvia Tse Bunting, MD, to the hospital’s Pathology Department. She specializes in diagnosing diseases and disorders affecting blood cells and organs, and tissues such as bone marrow, the spleen and thymus. Before joining Cleveland Clinic Weston, Bunting was Hematopathologist and Director of Flow Cytometry Service in the Department of Pathology at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. VITAS Healthcare promoted Natalia Hernandez to associate vice president of operations for its hospice services in Miami-Dade, Monroe and Broward counties. Hernandez joined VITAS in 2010 as a physician representative. She was promoted to director of market development in Central Florida in 2014 and again to regional DMD in South Florida in 2017.

CREW Miami (Commercial Real Estate Women Miami) has awarded the 2020 Roslyn K. Berrin Real Estate Scholarship to Amanda G. Gomez, J.D. Candidate, 2021 at St. Thomas University School of Law, in Miami Gardens. Gomez also serves as president for the Real Property, Probate, & Trust Law Society; vice president of communications for Trial Team; and articles editor for Journal of Complex Litigation. Last year, Roslyn Berrin, founder of Berrin Realty Inc. and the first recipient of CREW Miami’s Lifetime Achievement Award, initiated the CREW Miami Scholarship Fund. The Roslyn K. Berrin Real Estate Scholarship is available to females enrolled as a Junior or senior-level undergraduate or graduate student with a declared major in a real estate-related discipline, at a university or college located in Miami-Dade County among its criteria.
Developer
Housing Trust Group, a developer of affordable housing, has appointed Michael S. Sheitelman to chief operating officer. Before joining HTG, Sheitelman was general counsel for Crescent Heights, an urban real estate development firm with offices across the country. Prior to Before that, he was a shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale office of Gray Robinson PA. He has also led his own law practice, Sheitelman Law.
Education
Oxbridge Academy has announced the appointment of Courtney Portlock as the assistant head of school. Most recently she was director of the National Center for Girls’ Leadership at Stuart Country Day School in Princeton, New Jersey, where she previously served as both the head of upper school and assistant head of upper school. Additionally, Oxbridge Academy appointed Scott Siegfried as the director of advancement, responsible for overseeing the admission, communications, and development departments. He was previously the vice president of external relations and development at the Saint Louis School in Honolulu, and before that, the vice president of external affairs and enrollment at the MidPacific Institute in Honolulu. He also was director of admissions at Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Hispanic Unity of Florida announced new board member Maritza Alvare, assistant administrator to Memorial Hospital West.
Vita Nova, a West Palm Beach nonprofit that directly helps older foster and homeless youth in the county with supportive living services, announced new board of director members: Michael Branch, executive director for MorseLife Health System in West Palm Beach; Kristy Pressly, in-house counsel for The Breakers Palm Beach; and Jose M. Coto, general manager of engineering for the Power Delivery business unit of Florida Power & Light Co.
Nonprofits First announced Sergio A. Mariaca to its board of directors for a term until 2022. Mariaca is president of Mariaca Wealth Management LLC.
The Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center announced the addition of new members to its board of directors: Karol Costa, of Palm Beach Gardens, and Tae Edmonds , of West Palm Beach, each to a three year-term, until 2023. Edmonds, a public speaker, entrepreneur, educator, author, and a philanthropist, is founder and chief executive officer of Suits For Seniors, youth preparedness program. Costa’s career has included teaching at The Pritzker Center, a residential treatment center for seriously emotionally disturbed children; and teaching disabled middle school-aged students, and as director on the board of the Southeastern Massachusetts Division of the Office for Children, helping to implement the Individual Educational Programs for children with disabilities.
