MANA Group announced new executives. Albert Maloof Berdellans III joined the company as vice president of marketing and communicat­ions, from event company SWARM where he was vice president of marketing. Before that, he was a head marketing executive at Ultra Music Festival. Pauldine France joined MANA as vice president of leasing. France brings more than 15 years of commercial real estate leasing experience, including the developmen­t of the Virgin Trains Miami Central Terminal, as well as transforma­tive projects in Wynwood, Aventura and Surfside. Michelle Abbs joined MANA as director of Mana Tech. Previously, Abbs was director of Babson College’s WIN Lab where she led the program’s goals to develop South Florida’s tech entreprene­urship and innovation landscape.

Gilbane Developmen­t Co. announced the addition of Chandler Aden as vice president/developmen­t director multifamil­y, based in Boca Raton.

The Arc of Palm Beach County named Anthony J. Robinson as the new chief developmen­t and human resources officer, in Riviera Beach. Most recently, he was a major gifts officer with the Cleveland Clinic of Florida. Robinson also has worked with TBC Corp. and the American Cancer Society.

The Southeast Florida chapter of the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n named Tracey Wekar-Paige of Pompano Beach as its new executive director. Previously, Wekar-Paige worked as market director for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation since 2016. Prior to that, she spent five years at the American Cancer Society in hospital systems and other leadership roles. WekarPaige also worked as a group manager at Bloomingda­le’s and as a marketing director for Fortunoff.

South Florida PBS announced that Jose J Jimenez, technical maintenanc­e supervisor, South Florida PBS, received the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle Award, which recognizes individual­s who have worked with distinctio­n in the television industry within the Suncoast Region of the State of Florida, the State of Louisiana, the Mobile, Alabama-Pensacola, Florida television market as well as Puerto Rico for a quarter of a century or more. Jimenez began his career in broadcast engineerin­g after completing his training as an Electronic Engineer at the Universida­d Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas in Bogota, Colombia. Prior to moving to the United States, he worked at the National Institute of Radio and TV in Bogota. In 1989, Jimenez joined the staff at WPBT2 in Miami as a maintenanc­e engineer and later he was promoted to supervisor of technical maintenanc­e.

Matt Stabile, producing artistic director of Florida Atlantic University’s Theatre Lab in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters, received the South Florida Theatre League’s 2020 Remy Pioneer Award, bestowed upon individual­s who have, over the years, taken the lead and contribute­d substantia­lly to the health, growth and developmen­t of the South Florida theater community. Miami Dade College Hialeah Campus Professor Dr. Kelly Kennedy-Everett was appointed to the Phi Theta Kappa’s Honors Program Council. She is one of four college faculty in the country selected to help PTK direct its activities for the next four years representi­ng specific learning areas. Kennedy-Everett has been with MDC since 1993.
