Office Depot invests in nonprofits
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Boca Raton-based Office Depot, Inc. recently distributed nearly $2 million in donations to several nonprofit organizations across the country.
Office Depot, Inc. donated $1.5 million to the Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, while also providing $200,000 to youth-focused nonprofit organizations. Through the donations, Feeding South Florida, along with other nonprofits in the community, will receive essential funds in order to continue their operations.
Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund allows its membership network of 200 food banks to obtain the resources they need to serve the most at-risk individuals in their communities. Feeding South Florida, which serves residents in Broward, MiamiDade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties, has seen a 600% increase in demand since the start of the pandemic.

Office Depot, Inc. recently distributed $200,000 in donations to youth-focused nonprofit organizations across the country. The Boys & Girls Club of Palm Beach County was one of the recipients of the funds.
Depot and The ODP Corporation, said in a statement. “Now more than ever, we are committed to strengthening local communities and hope that this donation will help to provide relief for families that are struggling to put food on the table.”
Office Depot’s donations also will assist the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward and Palm Beach counties, Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s Golden Bell Education Foundation, Junior Achievement of South Florida, Path to College, United Way of Palm Beach County and the YMCA of South Palm Beach County.
The donations are intended to help underprivileged children and teenagers continue to learn and engage
throughout the time off in an effort to stop summer learning loss.

Outside of South Florida, Office Depot also provided donations to 15 other Boys & Girls Club chapters across the country.
