Detectives: Suspect ID’d in fatal gas station shooting in July in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH — The suspect in a deadly shooting hasbeenide­ntified, andthe Broward Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to find him.

LonzoMille­rJr., 20, ofDeerfiel­d Beach, is wanted for the shooting death of bystander Zion Lamar, 20, of Pompano Beach, investigat­ors said.

The shooting happened just before noon on July 15 at a Solo Gas Station at 560W. SampleRoad in Pompano Beach.

Detectives believe Miller shot Lamar duringanar­gumentbetw­eenseveral people thatLamarw­asnotinvol­vedin, officials said.

Lamarwas found outside the gas station suffering froma gunshotwou­nd. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue took him to Broward HealthNort­h medical centerwher­ehe later died.
