Three men shot in area of two-car collision inWest Park

WEST PARK — Three men were shot but all were expected to survive following a two-car collision in West Park.

The crash shut down a stretch ofHallanda­le Beach Boulevarda­sBrowardSh­eriff’sOfficedet­ectivesinv­estigated the shooting.

It happened about 2:45 a.m. Saturday near the intersecti­on of Southwest 56th Avenue. Therewere reports of a shooting at a nearby nightclub.

“Themotive forthe shooting remains unknown,” said sheriff’s spokesman Carey Codd. “This is an active, ongoing investigat­ion.”

The two- car wreck remained in the closed intersecti­on for at least four hoursasinv­estigators­placed evidence markers in several places on the street around the crash debris.

Yellow tape surrounded the three-block area and deputies diverted traffic around the crash scene.
