Former UCF receiver Harris agrees to 4-year deal with Rams
Former UCF wide receiver Jacob Harris has agreed to a
4-year, $3.9 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams.
Harris was selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft with the No. 141 overall pick. He was among nine players selected by the Rams in this year’s draft.
The deal pays an average annual salary of $994,836 with
$499,344 of the contract guaranteed, according to contract details obtained by Spotrac.com. Harris also receives a $499,344 signing bonus.
The 6-foot-5, 219-pound Harris caught the attention of representatives from all 32 NFL teams on hand during the school’s Pro Day on April 1 when he ran the 40-yard dash in a blazing 4.39 seconds.
Harris appeared in 22 games at the receiver position over the past two seasons, totaling 987 yards with eight touchdowns.
UCF has had a receiver drafted in three of the last four years, with
Gabe Davis (2020) and Tre’Quan Smith (2018).
He was among a school-record five UCF players selected in last month’s NFL draft along with defensive backs Richie Grant (Atlanta Falcons), Aaron Robinson (New York Giants) and Tay Gowan (Arizona Cardinals) as well as fellow receiver Tre Nixon (New England Patriots).
