Annelee was born in Southport, NC, on January
2, 1949, to Edward Newton and Hildegard Kramer Newton. She graduated from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL; and earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Alabama . She worked at Atlantic West Elementary and Ramblewood Middle School, both in Broward County, for over twenty years. Annelee was a devoted mother and grandmother . Her four grandchildren lovingly called her “Nah.” Her oldest grandson, who had the vocabulary of a professor by age two, decided that was her name and it stayed with her . She loved spending time with her family at the beach finding seashells, eating out at restaurants and could shop longer than anyone.
She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Coral Springs for over thirty years. She religiously took notes all over the pamphlets during every sermon . She loved cooking and taking meals and desserts to those in need. She enjoyed her weekly book groups and Bible studies.
A Celebration Of Life service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Coral Springs at 3 PM on Saturday, June 26, followed by a reception providing members and friends an opportunity to share their memories.
