Lucille Taseff
Lucille C. Taseff, 81 years old of Weston, Florida peacefully passed away in her home on September 13, 2021.
Join the family for a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 2401 Davie Road, Davie, FL 33317.
Lucy was born and raised in Coral Gables, Florida and is the daughter to Earl and Martha Carpenter. Lucy attended the local schools and after high school she joined Holiday on Ice as a professional ice skater. After retiring from ice skating Lucy attended Miami Dade Community College and earned her Nursing Degree and RN from the State of Florida. She continued her nursing career at Mercy Hospital, where she became a nurse administrator for the oncology department, until she retired in 2001. Lucy married the love of her life and soul mate Carl Taseff on November 18, 1978 in Coral Gables. Carl graduated from John Carroll University and played professional football from 1951 to 1964 and was an Assistant Coach for the Miami Dolphins from 1970 – 1994. After Carl retired from the Dolphins they remained active, and supported many of the retired players’ organizations and charity events. Lucy and Carl enjoyed the adventures of traveling and cruising the world and collected many memories during their journeys. Lucy was a long-time resident of Weston Hills FL and was the President of the Bay Pointe Association, and a member of the Weston Hills Architectural Board. Her everyday passion was her circle of friends, her dog Pumpkin, and gathering to play Mahjong and Bunko several times a week.
Lucy is preceded in death by her sister and brother and her husband Carl.
Lucy is survived by her step daughters Susan Taseff deMuth and Cynthia Taseff Heath and grandchildren Eleanor deMuth, Perkins deMuth, Celia Heath, and her longtime friend Jacqueline Harvey.
