Recently renovated estate sits on Golden Beach waterfront

An 11,552-square-foot waterfront home described by its listing agent as a “palatial estate” recently hit the market, and it can be all yours for just $35 million.

The gated “Santa Barbara Mediterranean”-style property, at 498 N. Parkway in Golden Beach, sits on a .44-acre lot directly on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Built in 2002, but recently gut-renovated, the two-story smart home has eight bedrooms and a total of 10 bathrooms.

Additional features include a movie theater, a rooftop terrace, five balconies, an elevator, maid’s quarters, a kosher kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances and a primary suite with dual walk-in closets and bathrooms and a terrace.

Outside, there is an infinity saltwater pool, a spa, a private dock, a summer kitchen and a gazebo, as well as 200 linear feet of waterfront.

“The homes on the Intracoastal are very desirable because you can have a large boat and keep it there because that water is protected,” said Jill Hertzberg, a real estate agent with The Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker Realty, who shares the listing with colleague Jonathan Mann. “And this one has 200 feet of water frontage, which is a unique feature of the property, plus the living spaces are very extravagant.”

According to its website, the Town of Golden Beach sits on 1.3 miles at the Miami-Dade/Broward County line. The exclusive town is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Intracoastal Waterway to the west, Hallandale Beach to the north and Sunny Isles Beach to the south.

“All the people who live in Golden Beach can walk over to the ocean,” Hertzberg said. “Plus, you have a new home — a turnkey, beautifully done home that the family did for themselves. The whole house feels very fresh and very welcoming. It’s truly captivating.”
