Compound includes 2 French Country estates

- A look at South Florida’s high-end real estate By Robyn A. Friedman

In case one mansion isn’t enough to meet your needs, how about purchasing two adjoining residences, where your family can live in a resort-style compound with every conceivable luxury, including a stocked private lake for fishing?

The Jills Zeder Group, affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty, recently listed a pair of French Country-style estates on more than 11 acres of land in Southwest Ranches.

The asking price: $54 million. Jill Eber, Jon Mann and Jill Hertzberg of The Jills Zeder Group are representing the seller of the properties, along with Kyle Sorel of No Limit Real Estate.

“What is most valuable in South Florida is land,” said Eber. “This property has endless possibilities due to the acreage and two exceptional homes. It’s a sprawling estate in a boutique rural town — a hidden enclave.”

One of the estates, at

13000 Lewin Lane, has seven bedrooms, including a staff bedroom and private guest house, as well as eight full bathrooms, including a full cabana bath and two half-baths. The

16,980-square-foot home sits on 7.6 acres.

Features include an elevator, a movie theater, office spaces and a gourmet kitchen complete with a large center island with a zinc countertop, appliances by Wolf and Sub-Zero, and Calacatta gold marble countertops.

Outside, there is a pool, fire pit, summer kitchen and lounge. A citrus garden includes over 20 varieties of fruit trees.

The second home, at

13001 Lewin Lane, has five bedrooms, six full baths and one half-bath. The

14,484-square-foot home is situated on 3.6 acres. Interior features include a family room, game room and custom bar with three Sub-Zero wine chillers.

The first-floor primary suite has hardwood floors, a sitting room, hidden projection TV in the ceiling, glass steam shower that opens to the outdoors and a sunken tub with water coming from the ceiling.

Outside, there’s an infinity pool and a covered lounge area with a hibachi grill, summer kitchen, fireplace, flat screen TV and fire pit.

The two homes are being sold together, Eber said.

“This is the seller’s intention,” she said. “Any potential buyer is free to investigate any possibilities

for future development or sale.”

Eber said that there are various ways a potential buyer could use the property.

“For a large extended family, multiple generations could easily live there, and one home could be used as a guest home,” she said. “It could also be a vacation home for anyone wanting privacy.

“This property might be attractive to someone in the music industry, who can build a private music studio, or an athlete, as the Dolphins and Panthers have facilities nearby.”

Public records disclose that both properties are owned by Robert Lewin and his wife, Lisa, who built the homes, Eber said.

Lewin lives in one of the homes, and his identical twin brother Harley lives in the other.
