Students must honor obligations
A recent letter compared student loans to the G.I. Bill. I found it offensive, shameful, and insulting. G.I.’s gave up their families and friends for military duty and the G.I. Bill was a small thank you. Students signed obligations to repay. Happy to take the money, they now claim stress to avoid repayment. They earn excellent wages but haven’t learned responsibility, only to stamp their feet and whine.
Will they demand the public pay for their maxed-out credit cards and mortgages?
