Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote in Florida in 2022 elections
Anyone who wants to vote in the 2022 elections in Florida, and isn’t already registered, faces a Tuesday, Oct. 11, deadline.
People can register in person by mail and online.
People registering or updating their registrations online will need their Florida driver license or Florida identification card and the last four digits of their Social Security number, the Secretary of State’s Office said.
To verify a user’s identity, the information typed into the online voter registration website must exactly match the information that appears on their most recent Florida driver license or state ID card.
Registration forms can be mailed or brought in to a county supervisor of elections office.
In-person registration is available at supervisor of elections offices, government offices such as tax collectors that issue driver licenses or state ID cards and government offices that include public assistance, public libraries or Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles driver license offices.
Someone renewing a driver license or state ID card online can also register during that process.
The Oct. 11 deadlines are 11:59 p.m. for online; received by the close of business at a supervisor of elections office or postmarked by that date if returned by mail, the Secretary of State’s Office said. The deadline to request a mail ballot is Oct. 29.
Early voting in Broward and Palm Beach counties runs from Oct. 24 through Nov. 6.
Election Day is Nov. 8. People can check to see if they’re registered to vote, request mail ballots and check their status, and find locations of polling places online and by phone.
