Better building codes needed

-

The lack of effective building regulations will never be addressed by Republican administrations in this state.

About five or six years ago, we looked at homes on Florida’s west coast. The houses were only one mile inland, were brand new and had no shutters or high-impact glass.

With all those trailers and manufactured homes located at ground level, what did they expect would happen?

In Broward County, trailers are at ground level on the old Orangebrook golf course in Hollywood that always flooded. This will continue to be the result until better laws and regulations are imposed.
