Patricia Ann Sherman, 85, passed away peacefully October 10, 2022, due to lung cancer. She was born October 30, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, to Leopold Edward Klaber and Ruth Klaber. She graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. in English. On February 3, 1962 she married Neil Sherman, and later they welcomed two sons, Lloyd Bolton Sherman in 1964 and Adam R. Sherman in 1966.

One of Patti’s hobbies was traveling. She went on many spectacular trips to places like Peru, China, Japan, various islands in the Caribbean, and several countries in Europe. She was a thrill seeker- whether it was skydiving, flying single propeller planes, white water rafting, or zip lining. She was never fearful when

it came to extreme activities. In addition to her love for adrenaline-pumping ventures, she also adored playing golf ever Sunday with her dear friend, Stan.

For much of her life, she worked as an Addictions Counselor with the Intervention Project for Nurses. Her career was a lifelong passion that allowed her to assist others in learning how to live a clean life. On November 15, 1981, Patti joined A.A./N.A. and was just shy of reaching 41 years of sobriety. Like her job with the I.P.N., she was heavily involved in the program and touched many lives along the way. She faithfully exercised the steps taught in the program, and it saved her life.

Patti is survived by her two sons and their wives, Lloyd and Shannon Sherman of Orlando, Florida, and Adam and Stephanie Sherman of Port St. Lucie Florida; grandchildren Geoffrey Sherman, Joshua Sherman, David Hannon, and Elizabeth Hannon; and one greatgrandchild, Greyson Neil Sherman.

Patti’s Final wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread on one of her favorite golf courses. Her final hope was that her memory will live on in the hearts of others.
