Finally, a suggestion to avoid the likely property insurance disaster breathing down our necks. Douglas Kahn’s suggestion to create an organization similar to the California Earthquake Authority, but focused on hurricanes, needs elected officials’ immediate attention.

It’s time to get the politics out of the way and put a solution in place before the financial catastrophe hits the entire insurance marketplace. It’s not hard to predict the future when it’s staring us in the face. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result seems to be our current course of action.
