Reject Florida justices

I had a hard time believing that someone, particularly a former Florida Supreme Court justice, would have the gall to write a column putting forward the idea that the current justices are apolitical and not partisan. If ever an idea was a fantasy, this is it.

I feel that Justice Jorge Labarga is a fair and conscientious jurist, but the other four have proven themselves to be political in the extreme and have repeatedly supported Gov. DeSantis’s culture-war policies without regard to their constitutionality, fairness or precedent.

The idea that these four should be retained because they are competent and nonpartisan is ludicrous to the extreme, and they all deserve to be rejected. I pray Floridians have the good sense to do that.
