It is with profound sadness that we must announce the passing of our most precious Kathy, Born June 12th 1958. Kathy boarded her shooting star and rocketed into the heavens in the early morning of Sept 5th. Preceded in death by her crew. Father Capt William Buchanan at the controls, Mother Shirley Burns, copilot, Aunt Peggy(Nun), Sister Margaret Burns,Immaculate Heart of Mary, engineer. The mission could not be scrubbed. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Edward. Adoring sons, Michael and Brian Mooney. Loving family, sisters Sarah Maltby(Kim),Eliane Patsel(Jim),brother,William Buchanan Jr(Susie), nephew,Kevin Carrie, & niece Ann Damewood(Richard), very special cousins Helene Beyer, Alexa Witz, Anthony J Beyer, eight grand nieces and nephews. Faithful dachshunds Scooter & Bella. Never without a weiner-dog. Kathy had the ability to make the holidays extra special. She had a flag for all of them. Her Christmastime chocolate chip cookies started many family feuds around the neighborhood. Meatballs 2nd to none, Keylime Pie and Chicken Noodle soup were some of her many specialties. A special shoutout to all of our great friends and neighbors, the Arnold’s, the Skelac’s, the Torregrossa’s, the Eckhardt’s,& the Trombino’s. Kathy was so proud to be part of the Cardinal Gibbons High School class of 76 ladies’ club. Lifelong members include best buddies Joanne Murphy Pierce, Marybeth Content Lapointe, Collen Bulfin Maloney, and the late Dr Michelle Willey. Lifetime friends Katie, Erin, Loren Ann, Becky, Debbie, T.D, Raul,& Tim. Kathy’s favorite place on earth to be was the Beyer beach house in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Hanging out with Uncle Tony and Aunt Teresa, Helene, Alexa, Tony, Gretchen, Chris,& Todd. May the recipient of Kathy’s corneas please see the

world as she did. The Mooneys are going to be selfish for a while. We want to keep Kathy home for the holidays. So please join us on Saturday January 14th, 2023 1631 Riverview Rd Deerfield Beach @1pm to celebrate the life of a lady who was some kind of Wonderful! In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the ASPCA in her memory.
