Multivehicle crash kills motorcyclist, shuts down lanes on I-95
A 32-year-old man was killed in a crash involving four vehicles on Interstate 95 near Atlantic Boulevard early Saturday morning.
A little before 4 a.m., a 25-yearold man driving a 2012 Honda Crosstour rear-ended the man, who was riding a motorcycle. The driver of the Honda Crosstour sustained minor injuries.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Broward Fire Rescue.
Two other vehicles were also involved in the accident and had minor injuries, according to Florida Highway Patrol, though authorities did not provide the nature of their involvement. The investigation remains active.
The accident shut down all northbound lanes between Cypress Creek Road and Atlantic Boulevard for several hours. The scene was cleared by 10:30 a.m., according to the Florida Department of Transportation’s Advanced Traveler Information System.
