Trump and his followers

-

The 1941 movie The Corsican Brothers is the story of two brothers born conjoined. Although separated at birth and adopted by two dissimilar families, they feel each others’ emotions, physical and mental distress. They are separated physically, but not in spirit. If one was stabbed in a sword fight, the other felt it. If one is chastised, the other experiences negative emotions.

The same scenario keeps MAGA followers attached to the former president. They feel that whenever Trump is criticized, the accusation is directed at them, too. If Trump is rebuked, the MAGAs take it personally. Trump and his followers seem determined to remain that way, no matter the outcome.
