Jeanne Gilman Shanklin

Jeanne Gilman Shanklin 92, of Pompano Beach, FL passed away at home on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Jeanne was born on July 1, 1930 in Metuchen, NJ. She is predeceased by her beloved husband David, parents Arthur and Helen Gilman and sister Margaret DeLuca.

She grew up in NJ, married, moved to NY and later to FL. While raising her children Jeanne was active in the League of Women Voters of Broward County serving as a two term president. She was a member of the

State of Florida Textbook Counsel and instrumental in creating Close-Up Tallahassee for high school students interested in state government.

Jeanne was a Realtor for 35 plus years and especially enjoyed working with first time home buyers, retiring

in 2013. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and enjoyed being with friends.

Jeanne is survived by daughter Linda, son Richard, daughter-in-law Michele and two grandsons. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Will miss you and love you forever.
