Misguided attention

-

You invited readers who disagree with your assessment of Gov. DeSantis to respond. I am one of them.

You stated it is your job to hold this governor to account, and I agree that it is indeed the responsibility of the media to inform the public, relying on indisputable and accurate facts about any governor, senator or representative.

However, in your editorials on this governor, you have gone overboard in your partisan attempts to heap criticism in an attempt to unseat him. Your overt bias is transparent and dismaying.

You mentioned other GOP candidates who shunned you. Is it any wonder that they refuse to participate in what they recognize as a setup?

Given the daily litany of anti-DeSantis articles in the Sun Sentinel, they are cognizant they will not get a fair shake. The reader who mentioned your “negative and biased reporting and editorials” is right on. I too am disgusted and often wonder why I continue to subscribe to such blatant attacks on a governor whose policies are attracting so many to flock here.

I know many people personally who like and applaud our governor despite, and maybe because of, your unremitting agenda to paint him in a poor light because you do not agree with his judicious policies.

This governor is thriving and succeeding so maybe you should turn your negative coverage on someone less capable. President Biden himself with his apparent ineptitude is someone you should hold to account since that’s what you proclaim your job to be. There is plenty to criticize: the sluggish economy, open borders, rampant inflation, high crime. He alone provides ample fodder for your unbridled negative coverage.

Turn your focus on someone more in need of your misguided attention.
