Woman dead after double shooting near bus terminal

A man and a woman were shot across from the bus terminal in downtown Fort Lauderdale Friday evening, police say. The woman died at the hospital.

As of Saturday morning, police have not arrested any suspects or identified the victims.

The shooting occurred a little after 7 p.m. Friday at the 100 block of NW 1st Avenue, not far from City Hall. Fire rescue officials arrived and transported the woman to Broward General Hospital.

The man was transported to Broward Health Medical Center in stable condition.

“The investigation is on-going and no arrests have been made,” said Detective Ali Adamson, a spokesperson for the Fort Lauderdale police department.
