RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. – For the past four months, Riviera Beach res­i­dents have been spend­ing the third Fri­day of the month at the Riviera Beach Bi­cen­ten­nial Park, one of Riviera Beach Ma­rina Vil­lage’s most prom­i­nent land­marks lo­cated at 190 E. 13th Street, be­cause it has been trans­formed into an ‘out­door cin­ema’ host­ing Movie Daze & Food Truck Frenzy.

“We highly value the mean­ing of fam­ily. That is why we want to con­tinue host­ing events for them to en­joy,” said Riviera Beach Com­mu­nity Re­de­vel­op­ment Agency (RBCRA) In­terim Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor, Scott Evans. “The Ma­rina Vil­lage is one of Riviera Beach’s most vis­ited lo­ca­tion. Not only can peo­ple spend time with their fam­ily and friends at th­ese free events, but they can also they en­joy other ac­tiv­i­ties, such as wa­ter sports, eco-tours and more.”

On Movie Daze, peo­ple can en­joy a mix of clas­sic and modern fea­tured films, such as “Re­mem­ber the Ti­tans” (April 20); “John­son Fam­ily Va­ca­tion” (May 18); and “Marvel’s Avengers” (June 15). Food Truck Frenzy, fea­tures ‘restau­rants on wheels’ where fam­ily and friends can en­joy a va­ri­ety of food op­tions while watch­ing free fam­ily-friendly films sur­rounded by lush land­scap­ing and stun­ning views of the In­tra­coastal.

Food Truck Frenzy starts at 6:00 p.m. fol­lowed by Movie Daze at 7:00 p.m. Spon­sored by the RBCRA, the fam­ily event that launched in Novem­ber, is a part of the agency’s ef­forts to “ex­pand the tax base by cre­at­ing a wel­com­ing en­vi­ron­ment that elim­i­nates blight and im­proves per­cep­tion of safety in an area; guides the city’s re­de­vel­op­ment ef­forts; and cre­ates and sup­ports many pro­grams that en­hances daily life in Riviera Beach.”
