Sum­mer youth em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties

Miami Com­mis­sion Chair­man Keon Harde­mon, the South­east Over­town/Park West Com­mu­nity Re­de­vel­op­ment Agency an­nounced that the Sum­mer Youth Train­ing and Em­ploy­ment pro­gram is ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions from high school and col­lege stu­dents from 14 to 21-years old who live in the Over­town area or who at­tend Booker T. Washington se­nior high. The seven-week pro­gram will ex­pose in­terns to en­trepreneur­ship and busi­ness; web­site and mo­bile de­sign; film and video; so­cial me­dia/news crew; pho­tog­ra­phy and ra­dio pod­cast­ing.

In­ter­ested ap­pli­cants can ap­ply on­line by April 30 at www.ur­gentinc.org. Stu­dents se­lected into the pro­gram will work 25 hours each week and earn $9 per hour. For more in­for­ma­tion, call 786-581-7821.
