Legal community presents human trafficking summit
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A summit to address human trafficking is being presented by the Broward County Clerk of Courts & the Broward County Bar Association. The June 1 forum will address, what is human trafficking, different forms of trafficking, pathways and precursors, identifying factors, trafficking and trauma and obtaining evidence and prosecuting a case.
Speakers include Jumorrow-Terra Johnson, Broward Human Trafficking Coalition; Tabitha Bush, Broward Human Trafficking Coalition; Kristine Bradley, Broward County State Attorney’s Office; Patrice Roloto, Smith Community Mental Health;Victor Williams- Retired Homeland Security Agent and the Honorable Melinda Brown, 17th Judicial County Court Judge. The free summit is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Broward Courthouse, 201 SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Jury Assembly Room 3320 (3rd floor of the East Wing of the courthouse).
