Le­gal com­mu­nity presents hu­man traf­fick­ing sum­mit

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A sum­mit to ad­dress hu­man traf­fick­ing is be­ing pre­sented by the Broward County Clerk of Courts & the Broward County Bar As­so­ci­a­tion. The June 1 fo­rum will ad­dress, what is hu­man traf­fick­ing, dif­fer­ent forms of traf­fick­ing, path­ways and pre­cur­sors, iden­ti­fy­ing fac­tors, traf­fick­ing and trauma and ob­tain­ing ev­i­dence and prose­cut­ing a case.

Speak­ers in­clude Ju­mor­row-Terra John­son, Broward Hu­man Traf­fick­ing Coali­tion; Tabitha Bush, Broward Hu­man Traf­fick­ing Coali­tion; Kris­tine Bradley, Broward County State At­tor­ney’s Of­fice; Pa­trice Roloto, Smith Com­mu­nity Men­tal Health;Vic­tor Wil­liams- Re­tired Home­land Se­cu­rity Agent and the Hon­or­able Melinda Brown, 17th Ju­di­cial County Court Judge. The free sum­mit is sched­uled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Broward Court­house, 201 SE 6th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Jury Assem­bly Room 3320 (3rd floor of the East Wing of the court­house).
