Deadline to apply for SBA hurricane impact loans is June 11
If your small business or non-profit was adversely affected by Hurricane Irma, you could qualify for a federal disaster loan, but you need to hurry to apply. The deadline is Monday, June 11 to apply for U.S. Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
The loans are available to small business, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and private, nonprofit organizations affected by Hurricane Irma from Sept. 4, 2017 through Oct. 18, 2017.
These low-interest working capital loans of up to $2 million are intended to cover ordinary and necessary financial obligations such as payroll, accounts payable, fixed debts and other expenses that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred.
