› Deer seem to think my hydrangeas are for their dining pleasure! Will my plants recover from being their main course? —SUSAN

» Deer relish all kinds of hydrangeas and will mow them to the ground if they can. Two ways to prevent the slaughter are to either surround the plants with wire cages or spray them according to label directions with a deer repellent such as Bobbex, Liquid Fence, or Deer Off. The munched hydrangeas will grow back if given the chance.
