Police investigat­e strong arm robbery

On April 1 at approximat­ely 6:15 a.m., a woman was walking her dog in the area of St. Patrick’s Drive at Highgate Place in Waldorf when a man wearing all black clothing approached her and grabbed her cell phone and keys from her hand. The suspect fled into the woods. Officer K. Collins is investigat­ing.

Windows shattered at Waldorf business

On April 1 at approximat­ely 6:55 a.m., employees arrived at a business in the 100 block of St. Patrick’s Drive in Waldorf and saw someone leaving the parking lot with a shattered window. An investigat­ion revealed that at approximat­ely 3:52 a.m., the suspect arrived at the business and kicked open five lower bay windows at the front of the building. He then smashed the passenger-side window of a pickup truck that was parked in the parking lot and entered the vehicle, only leaving the area when the employees arrived just before 7 a.m. Pfc. E. Baker is investigat­ing.

On April 1 at approximat­ely 2:06 p.m., officers responded to the area of Smallwood Drive at Barrington Drive in Waldorf for the report of a pedestrian hit-and-run. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 72-year-old male from Waldorf, who was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.

Sometime between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on April 3, someone removed locks from several lockers in the locker rooms at a fitness center located in the 2900 block of Festival Way in Waldorf.

Two victims had items stolen from their lockers while two other victims had their items tampered with. Officer C. Chamblee is investigat­ing.
