Pisgah-Chicamuxen United Methodist Men will hold their annual yard sale 7 a.m.-1 p.m. May 14 at the church, 7020 Poor House Road, La Plata. Sacred Heart Parish to hold drive-thru chicken dinner

Sacred Heart Parish of La Plata will hold a drive-thru chicken dinner 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m., or until sold out, May 15 at the church, 201 St. Mary’s Ave., La Plata. Cost is $13 for an eight piece bucket of chicken with rolls; $13 for a chicken dinner of four pieces of chicken with green beans, scalloped potatoes and a roll. Zion Baptist to present Gospel program

Zion Baptist Church Men’s Ministry will present The Gospel Disciples of Southern Maryland and Friends 3 p.m. May 22 at the church, 8105 Annapolis Woods Road, Welcome. Church to sponsor bus trip to Sight and Sound Theatre in July

Accokeek First Church of God will sponsor a bus trip 8:15 a.m. Friday, July 29, to see the play “Samson” at Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster County, Pa. The bus will load at the church, 15821 Livingston Road, Accokeek.

Trip cost is $110 for ages 13 or older; $100 for ages 3-12. Cost includes theater ticket, bus transporta­tion and all-you-can-eat buffet at Bird N Hand restaurant. Installmen­t payments will be accepted by check, cash or money order. Final payment due by June 26.
