Money, items stolen from vehicles in Bryans Road
Between July 27 and July 28, during the overnight hours, someone broke into several cars on Walkaway Court in Bryans Road. Money and other small items were stolen. Pfc. D. Raby is investigating.
Police arrest burglary suspect
On July 27, detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division identified Phillip Randolph Adams, 36, of Mechanicsville as a suspect in a burglary that occurred at a business in the 5800 block of Gallant Green Road in Hughesville on July 25. The suspect was also linked to a theft at a church in La Plata which was being investigated by the La Plata Town Police. Adams was charged with burglary, theft and destruction of property. Det. M. Kelly investigated.
Cars vandalized, spray painted in White Plains
On July 27 between midnight and 3:15 a.m., someone damaged several cars in the area of Oxon Court in White Plains. The suspects used white spray paint and sprayed profanity on the vehicles. Cpl. G. Barnhart Sr. is investigating.
Cash reward offered in robbery case
On July 23 at 10:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of St. Marks Drive and Huntington Woods Drive in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Two male victims had been walking in the area when they were approached by two suspects who displayed a handgun and demanded the victims’ backpacks and cell phones. The suspects then assaulted the victims and fled. Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.
