Allegedly cut ex, rammed his girlfriend in car

A Waldorf woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly cutting an ex-boyfriend with a knife and smashing her car into a car driven by his girlfriend near Eva Turner Elementary School.

Julia Jane Pike, 18, of Waldorf was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault, according to online court records.

According to charging documents, Charles County Sheriff’s Office Pfc. D. Arends responded to Eva Turner Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. for a report of a stabbing and vehicle collision.

According to reports from the victims and a witness, Pike attacked the male victim with a pocket knife, cutting his fingers and striking him. Pike then attempted to run over him with her car, the victim stated. One of the witnesses assisted the male victim to a vehicle which transported

him to a hospital, where he was being treated for his wounds when interviewed by officer Butler of the sheriff’s office.

According to the female victim, she drove away after witnessing the confrontation, but Pike pursued her and drove her 2015 Nissan into the rear of the car the female victim was driving.

Pike’s vehicle was later located by police, where it was discovered to have front end damage consistent with the female victim’s account, according to the charging documents.

Pike allegedly told police she cut the male victim in self defense. Pike was taken into custody by police. As of press time, bond had not yet been set.
