Who are the patriots to make America great again?

-

Our country gets more and more divided as the republic put in place by our founding fathers seems to be slipping away, and this has been going on for some time.

President Trump may be the last hope to save the republic, but can it be done by Trump, or anyone for that matter?

There are very strong forces against Mr. Trump and his agenda to “make America great again,” including some establishment Republicans, but mostly obstructionist left-wing Democrats such as the Trump-hating media where neutral, unbiased reporting is hard to find. There’s also the rich and famous Hollywood elites who lack a moral compass. Don’t forget about the leftist academia, where colleges turn out shallow-thinking liberals by the thousands year after year. Then there are those who support a One World order, those who like big government and socialism, liberal left-wing judges. There are those who want open borders and sanctuary cities, and those who oppose the Second Amendment. And then there are the high-level, entrenched-career government bureaucrats. And those who support abortion for any reason at any stage of pregnancy. Those who want to make a problem about what bathroom people should use. Those who disrespect our flag and our national anthem. Radical groups who promote anarchy and violence, and chant “death to police.” Those who don’t want us to say “merry Christmas.” Those who accuse Trump supporters of racism when it is not skin color that divides us, but ideology and culture clashes.

Who are the patriots who support Trump’s agenda to make America great again? This is not an all-inclusive or all-exclusive list, but the greater majority of these groups are with Trump: active-duty military, military veterans, law enforcement of all types and those who want extreme vetting and merit-based immigration. There are those who want a controlled border, including the wall. And those who believe in our U.S. Constitution as written. And those who want limited government, like blue-collar workers hurt by unfair trade practices. And don’t forget those who respect human life and Judeo-Christian values. Evangelical Christians. And, don’t forget that 55 percent of Catholics voted for Trump.

I feel like I am in good company, but are there enough of these patriots to continue to make progress to reverse the decline of America and save the republic? How do you feel about the company you keep?

This is a good time of year to thank our active-duty military families, our veterans and our police for their service and sacrifices and the risks they take to keep us all safe. Let’s all pledge allegiance to our flag and the republic for which it stands. Merry Christmas, and may God bless America.
