Metropolitan UMC to celebrate 150th anniversary with prayer breakfast
Metropolitan United Methodist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a Women’s History Prayer Breakfast titled, “Spring Forth Women of God,” 9:30 a.m. March 10 at the Indian Head Pavilion, 100 Walter Thomas Road, Indian Head. St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church will host its annual Spring Oyster Fest noon-3 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the Parish Hall located at 7209 Benedict Avenue, Benedict. The menu will include local oysters served at an outdoor raw bar, fried and scalded oysters; shrimp, ham, and a variety of salads and side dishes.
