Metropolit­an UMC to celebrate 150th anniversar­y with prayer breakfast

Metropolit­an United Methodist Church will celebrate its 150th anniversar­y with a Women’s History Prayer Breakfast titled, “Spring Forth Women of God,” 9:30 a.m. March 10 at the Indian Head Pavilion, 100 Walter Thomas Road, Indian Head. St. Francis de Sales Church to host Spring Oyster Fest

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church will host its annual Spring Oyster Fest noon-3 p.m. Saturday, March 24 at the Parish Hall located at 7209 Benedict Avenue, Benedict. The menu will include local oysters served at an outdoor raw bar, fried and scalded oysters; shrimp, ham, and a variety of salads and side dishes. There will also be desserts for sale and a flea market. The cost is $25 per adult; $5 per child (maximum of $20 for children.)
