Robert Lettley Atchinson III

Robert “Robbie” Lettley Atchinson III, 47, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away the evening of Friday, June 15, 2018.

Robbie was born Oct. 14, 1970 in Washington, DC, to the late Robert “Buster” Atchinson and Jeanette McIlwee. Robbie belonged to the 602 Steamfitte­r Union for 25 years from which he retired while fighting Esophageal/Stomach Cancer.

After retirement, Robbie and his family spent time volunteeri­ng in Panama City Beach either with Keep PCB Beautiful or St. Andrews Bay Watch. He lived life to the fullest. He worked and lived several places over the years between Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Florida. During which he made lots of friends and haters along the way. When he found the love of his life, he moved his family to Panama City Beach. Robbie and Mary were inseparabl­e. You could always find them on one adventure or another but most every evening they were on the beach sharing the sunset.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert “Buster” Atchinson; and his stepfather, Casper “Cappy” McIlwee.

Those left to cherish Robbie’s memory include his wife, Mary; daughters: Jessica, Lindsay, Layla, Miley; sons: Larry, Danny; mother, Jeanette McIlwee; cousins: Ledamarie Kleinschmi­dt, Lavern Jacobs, Brandon Atchinson, David Horton, Mark Horton; as well as many other family and friends.

Harry Raymond Ritter Jr.

Harry Raymond Ritter Jr., 93, of Waldorf, MD (formerly Accokeek, MD), died on June 15, 2018. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a self-employed brick layer and an instructor of trowel trades at the Charles County Vocational Technical Center and was a lifetime member of Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Audrey L. Pickeral Ritter. He is survived by his five children: Mary (Kay) Kane (Donald), Faye Green (Greg), Harry (Ray) Ritter III (Beverly), Patricia Gaye Ritter, and Deneen (DeeJay) Hensley. He also is survived by nine grandchild­ren, 18 great grandchild­ren, two great great grandchild­ren, and brothers: John Irvine Ritter and Thomas Ritter.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department and where Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 11 a.m. with Burial to follow at Trinity Memorial.
