debate hosted by Southern Maryland Association of Realtors and Baynet is 6 to 8 p.m. at the Waldorf Jaycee’s Community Center, 3090 Crain Highway, Waldorf. Retiring Del. Sally Jameson (D-Charles) will moderate the debate which is open to the public. All major party candidates have been invited. Bring non-perishable food items to donate to local food banks.

Veterans Democratic Club of Charles County and Vicinity is hosting a Board of Education Candidate Forum from 10 a.m. to noon at Metropolitan UMC, 3385 Metropolitan Church Road, Indian Head. Southern Maryland is holding a full council meeting — cash bar at 6 p.m., a 6:30 p.m. dinner and 7 p.m. business meeting — at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees
Community Center, 3090 Crain Highway, Waldorf. The cost of the dinner is $25. The keynote speaker will be Benjamin Grumbles, Maryland’s secretary of the environment.
