Charles County Government is partnering with National Research Center Inc. to conduct the National Citizen Survey (NCS). We are seeking your input on a variety of questions on the quality of life in the community, local policies, demographics, rating of local government services, and your use of county government services. This is the second time that Charles County Government has partnered with NCS to survey your feedback.
Earlier this month, a random and scientific sample of 1,600 households received invitations by mail. If you have not yet participated in the survey, you are invited to take the survey online at http://bit.ly/ charlescounty2018 from Friday, Oct. 26, to Friday, Nov. 9.
The NCS was among the first scientific surveys developed to gather resident opinion on a range of community issues and has been used in more than 350 jurisdictions across 46 states. It is a high-quality, cost-effective scientific survey of resident opinion and an important benchmarking tool that allows for comparison among communities. Communities using the NCS have reported that the tool helped improve performance, strengthen communications with community stakeholders, and identify clear priorities for use in goal and budget setting.
Results collected from the survey will be used to evaluate how Charles County Government is serving residents, to better gauge perceptions of the county, and to make comparisons with peer local government jurisdictions. We will compare this year’s survey results against the first year’s survey. We will also use the feedback to plan and prioritize our work strategically as we move forward. Results from the survey will be posted on the county website atwww. Charles County MD. gov. Stay tuned for additional details.
