“Our approach is to take it one game at a time. Each win gets us one step closer to reaching our goal,” Rams head coach Dave Bradshaw said. “Each game is an opportunit­y for us to improve as a team. We are striving to play our best soccer in November.”

McDonough (13-3) had eight different players score a goal in the lopsided victory.

“We are excited to have homefield advantage and look forward to another home game. I am proud of what the girls have accomplish­ed so far this season,” Bradshaw said.

The Rams were slated to host Lackey, the third seed in the section, in the 1A South Region Section II final on Thursday. The winner moves on to the 1A South Region title game scheduled for this Tuesday.

The Chargers went on the road Tuesday and topped their Prince George’s County opponent in the other 1A South Region Section II semifinal.

Lackey (8-5), the section’s third seed, played top-seeded McDonough on Thursday in the 1A South Region Section II final. The winner moves on to the 1A South Region title game scheduled for this Tuesday.

The Rams topped the Chargers 3-0 in the regular season meeting between the two schools on Oct. 17.
