La Plata UMC to host Harvest Dinner

La Plata United Methodist Church is holding its annual Harvest Dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, in the Fellowship Hall, 3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata. The menu features ham, roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, candied sweet potatoes, green beans, kale, cranberrie­s, rolls, drinks and dessert. Drive thru and carry-out meals are also available.

Good Samaritan to host Holiday Bazaar

Good Samaritan Presbyteri­an Church’s annual Holiday Bazaar is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 13025 Good Samaritan Drive in Waldorf. There will be handmade crafts, a cookie walk, bake sale table, white elephant sale and Santa’s Craft Shop for the little ones. Crab soup, barbecue and hot dogs will be for sale for lunch. St. James’ hosts Famous Fall Bazaar

St. James’ Church in Indian Head is hosting its annual Famous Fall Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3. Gift hunters will find a selection of crafts, antiques and jewelry, as well as cookies, pies and apple dumplings at the bake sale.
